Taking advantage of a long holiday break, we set off the road for another cuti-cuti Malaysia again.
This time its was Tasik Cini, Pekan, Temerloh with an overnight stay at Kuantan
On our second day of our trip, we set off to a place where very few travelers set foot on. By most avid travelers standard, this place is quite a sleepy town and off the beaten track. And that's what attracted us in the first place, to unearth hidden gems in the far-flung corners of the country. And this obscure place lies in the state of Pahang and literally translated from Malay is called 'town' or Pekan in English.
Pekan
is the royal town of Pahang. It is located near the mouth of the Pahang River.
It is an official status declared when the royal family decided eons ago to
choose the town as their place of residence.
And this the exact place of where we took the pics in Pekan, its Muzium Sultan Abu Bakar.
Other places of interest in Pekan
* watercraft gallery
* Sultan Abu Bakar Palace
* Royal Pahang Polo club
* Pekan Riverfront
* the Chief's Rest Houe
