TASIK CINI TRIP ( 2/5/2015)

DESTINATION : TASIK CINI  (LAKE CINI RESORT, PAHANG)

DATE: 2nd MAY 2015

MAIN ATTRACTION : TAKING A BOAT RIDE AT THE 12 LAKES.

Tasik Cini is a lake near the Pahang River in central Pahang, Malaysia. The lakeshores are inhabited by the Jakun branch of the Orang Asli. The 12,565 acres (5,026 hectares) Tasik Cini is the second largest fresh water lake in Malaysia and is made up of a series of 12 lakes. Cini River, which drains from the lake, flows into Pahang River. The river is dammed to maintain the lake's depth during the dry season. However, this has disrupted the natural ecology of the lake and caused the death of trees on its shores

First stop at Sri Jaya, for lunch at Restoran Sin Tong Kok for its famous paus.

GETTING THERE.
Started from K.L  we used the East Coast Highway and exit at Sri Jaya. After having our lunch at Sri Jaya we head to Gambang until we reach a junction where we took the  Segamat Highway toward Muadzam Shah. Drive straight for another 45mins, watch out for the sign to Tasik Cini and just follow the direction until you reach LAKE CINI RESORT.. Below is the map.  Or click MAP HERE.
Actually there is another shorter route getting to Tasik Cini , via  Kampong Belimbing ,and from there take a boat to cross the Pahang River then into the winding Chini River until you reach the lake. This route is not advisable cause at the jetty where you take the boat, there is no proper place to park your vehicle, the place is semi forest, totally inhabited and secluded. And secondly on your return trip back to the jetty you might run risk of not getting any boat due to low tide, so you will practically stranded in the forest for the night!
