Flag Off

  • Bike check-in time : 5:30am - 6:30am
  • Race flag-off time : 7:30am (triathlon & duathlon) 
  • Race cut-off duration : 5.5hours
  • Shuttle to swim site : 6:30am - 7:00am (triathletes only)
Cut Off Time
Official cut-off time will be on 5:30 hours

Swim Rules
  1. All swimmers must wear the swim caps provided by the Organizer.
  2. All swimmers are required to wear proper swimming attire during the entire swimming course.
  3. No fins, gloves, paddles or flotation devices of any kind are allowed.
  4. The race will start with three wave starts (water start). The waves will start off at 7:20 am, 7:24 am and 7:28am. Participants will be assigned to waves depending on their age group.
  5. Support crews are not allowed. Any assistance received during the swim will result in immediate disqualification (with the exception of medical aid).
  6. No one is permitted in the swim course other than the participants and officials.
  7. Swimmers in difficulty shall signal the safety boat/kayak for assistance. The course will be adequately patrolled by boats, canoes and paddleboards.
  8. Wetsuits are not allowed under any circumstances.
Bike Rules
  1. All cyclists must wear a helmet and fasterned the chinstrap during the entire cycling course.
  2. A shirt or sport top must be worn at all times. Athletes caught without a shirt or sport top or bare torso may be disqualified or penalised.
  3. Strictly No individual support allowed. Athletes must be individually responsible for repair and maintenance of their own bike.
  4. All cyclist must ride single file on the left side of the road except when passing another rider, or for reasons of safety. Side-by-side riding is not allowed.
  5. Athletes must ensure that their race numbers are clearly visible at the back of their jersey at all times. Race belts may be worn.
  6. Athletes must have a bike frame number fixed to their bike and the entire number must be clearly visible from the left side.
  7. Athletes may walk bike, if necessary, but may not make progress on the bike course unaccompanied by their bicycle.
  8. Athletes must obey all traffic laws AT ALL TIME while on the cycling course unless otherwise specifically directed by an official, race monitor or designee with actual authority.
  9. HEADSETS OR HEADPHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED DURING ANY PORTION OF THE EVENT.
  10. Yellow Flag Area and Rules: The purpose of the Yellow Flag Areas is to slow all bikes to a safe speed through a dangerous area (downhill sharp turn, incoming traffic blind spot etc).
    1. The Yellow Flag Areas will be pointed out in the race briefing.
    2. A white line across the road and a race official waving a yellow flag identify the start of the Yellow Flag Area. Inside the Yellow Flag Area riders must: ” Sit up on handlebars with hands on the brakes. ” Ride no faster than 20 kph. ” Not pass any other athletes. Any athlete failing to follow Yellow Flag Area rules . A white line across the pavement and an official waving a green flag identify the end of the Yellow Flag Area. Once the athlete exits the Yellow Flag Area he/she may immediately resume racing.
    3. Athletes must ” Sit up on handlebars with hands on the brakes. ” Ride no faster than 20 kph. ” Not pass any other athletes inside the yellow flag area.
    4. A white line across the pavement and an official waving a green flag identify the end of the Yellow Flag Area. Once the athlete exits the Yellow Flag Area he/she may immediately resume racing.
Run Rules
  1. No form of locomotion other than running, walking or crawling is allowed.
  2. Athletes must wear their officially issued bib number in front of them clearly visible at all times on the course.
  3. NO INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT VEHICLES OR NON-PARTICIPANT ESCORT RUNNERS/ PACER ARE ALLOWED. This is an individual endurance event.
  4. Athletes are expected to follow the directions and instructions of all race officials and public authorities.
Competition Zone Identification

  • Competitors are NOT allowed to draft including in the “Green Zone” during the cycling segment of races
  • Cyclists are allowed to pass on the ‘RIGHT’ side of the slower competitor
  • Cyclist must keep at least a two bike lengths distance behind a leading cyclist
Yellow Flag

  • Competitors are NOT allowed to draft in the “Yellow Zone”.
  • Cyclists are  NOT allowed to pass on any competitor in front
  • Cyclist must keep at least a two bike lengths distance behind a leading cyclist
  • It is a signal to flag sharp corner is farther upstream (50m to the corner)
Red Flag

  • An accident or the track conditions are poor enough to warrant the race being stopped is ahead.
  • Competitors will be asked to slowdown to XXkm/h with NO overtaking is allowed
  • Worst case sceneario, all competitors may required to stop at a designated area if the road condition is too risky to proceed
Where To Park
There will be 8 designated car parks in use. In all circumstances, please follow marshal instructions to park at these designated car parks.

Please DO NOT park along JALAN TELUK BAHANG. This road are narrow. Parking at the roadside causes serious congestion. 
This road is part of run & cycle course, cars parked here will blocking & impact your run & cycle courses. A smooth course depends on us all taking responsibility. 
Do consider car pooling with your friends if possible to reduce the numbers of cars.
