About The Run
This exciting running event "Wild Run" will be held on October 4th, 2015. This one day event will celebrate the World Animal Day 2015 beginning at 6am Sunday all in promoting the awareness campaign on animal cruelty preventions. "Wild Run" is a running event that promotes awareness on animal welfares inconjunction with the World Animal Day that falls on the 4th of October. World Animal Day is celebrated on 4th of october every year in celebration of animal life in any forms. Historically, to highlight the plight of endangered species and eventually grew to encompass all kinds of animal life. This is the day to celebrate humankind's relationship with the animal that has diverse role in our lives. Objective
The main objective of this "Wild Run" running event is that we can aim and strive to make a difference to prevent cruelty against all animal. We initiated this run in view of elevating public public's Animal Welfare Awareness to cultivate a cullture of respects and sensitivity towards animal including habitats and environment. Animal welfare applies not only to our pets (eg. cats and dogs), wildlife animal is included. Cruelty, abuse, deliberate killings, unscrupulous habitat encroachment are examples of our doings. We dont have to protect these animals from themselves, but we have to protect them from us.
This is the first running event being organised in Sabah to increase awareness on animal welfares.Together we can stop the killings and abuse. Be a voice for voiceless.
