About The Walk -

The “Walk for Children” ‪#‎walkathon‬ is a national ‪#‎fundraising‬ event in support of the Shelter Home for Children and Tasputra Perkim, both in ‪#‎Malaysia‬. This event is organized by the International School of Kuala Lumpur’s International Club students.

Started in 2010, the Walk for Children took place annually for three consecutive years. The Walk for Children managed to raise RM78,000 for charity Shelter Home in 2010, followed by RM86,000 in 2011 for charities Shelter Home and Rumah Kasih Sayang, and an astounding RM115,460 in 2012 for charities Shelter Home and Pertubuhan Jalinan Kasih Anak-Anak Yatim/Miskin ‪#‎Selangor‬ dan ‪#‎KualaLumpur‬. We, the International Club, are very excited to finally bring back this event in #2016!

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to raise awareness and money for the poor and disadvantaged youth in Malaysia, to embrace cultural diversity and promote national unity, and to promote global citizenship. The international Club support Shelter Home Malaysia and other charities.

ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT

The registration counter is open at 6:30 am

Warm up session starts at 7:30 am

The walk will begin at 8:00 am, please gather at the start line.

All participants will receive an event T-shirt, a goodie bag and certificate of participation.
PRIZES

There will be prizes for the first 10 participants to cross the finish line for the 3km and the 5km.

THE BAZAAR

At the same time, there will be a bazaar with ‪#‎food‬ and ‪#‎entertainment‬. There will be fun activities for children and teenagers, music, and other performances by ISKL students and guests!
