1. When and where will the Great Eastern Johor Bahru 10k Run 2014 be held?
Great Eastern Johor Bahru 10k Run 2014 will be held on 13th December 2014 (Saturday), starting and finishing at Dataran Bandaraya, Johor Bahru. The event will begin at 7am.

2. When is the starting and closing date for registration?
Registration will start on 27th October 2014 and close on 30th November 2014 or upon reaching 2,000 runners, whichever comes first.

3. What time does the run starts?
7am.

4. What is the minimum age to participate in this event?
The minimum age to participate in this event is 18 years old (as at 31st December 2014).

5. How many race categories are there?
There are 6 categories:
A – 10km Men’s Open (Malaysian)
B – 10km Men’s Veteran (Malaysian)
C – 10km Men’s International (Non-Malaysian)
D – 10km Women’s Open (Malaysian)
E – 10km Women’s Veteran (Malaysian)
F – 10km Women’s International (Non-Malaysian)

Registration

1. How can I register?
You can ONLY register online via the official website www.jb10k.com

2. How much is the race entry fee?
Early Bird: RM 40 (till 9th November 2014)
Normal Registration: RM50 (10th November 2014 until 30th November 2014)

3. How do I make payment?
You can make payment by credit card, debit card or online bank transfer through the online payment portal (ipay88.com), which you will be directed to after you have duly completed the registration form.

4. Can I do bulk registration?
No. All participants are required to sign up individually to declare their health status and accept the indemnity clause.

5. How will I know if my online registration is successful?
Registrants will receive a confirmation e-mail upon successful registration. The system will automatically allocate a unique Registration Number as shown in their confirmation e-mail. Please note that “Ipay88*Hesb-1xcess” will be listed in your credit card bank statement for this transaction.

6. If I cannot make it to the event, can I get refund or withdraw/ transfer/ defer my participation?
All entries are not transferable, not refundable and not deferrable.

7. Can I change race category after confirmation of my registration?
No.

8. Can I make changes to my personal particulars after confirmation of my registration?
Yes. You can make changes to your personal particulars by sending an email to info@jb10k.com or contacting 03-79602325 (Mon to Fri, 10am to 5pm, except public holiday).
Changes to race category, date of birth, NRIC, gender and running vest/T-shirt sizes are NOT considered as changes to personal particulars.

9. I am a foreigner. What are the regulations from the Malaysian Immigration Department for participating in events in Malaysia?
You are responsible to make all the necessary travel arrangements, as well as obtain all entry, exit, health and other relevant documents. Please contact the applicable Consulate or Embassy for these additional requirements.
As per the new requirement from the Malaysian Immigration Department, please state in the Disembarking Visitor Card the purpose of your visit to Malaysia is to participate in the particular event that you have registered for.
If in doubt, please contact the Malaysian Immigration Department by logging on to their website www.imi.gov.my.

Race Day

1. Where do I get the race route?
Please refer to the official website www.jb10k.com for more information.

2. Can I roller blade or cycle during the race day?
No. To ensure the safety of all participants, using any wheel-run objects during the race is not allowed. Any participants using wheel-run objects will be requested to exit the race course immediately by the security officers/officials.

3. What if I run together with my baby/child in the stroller?
No, you are not allowed to do that.

4. Is parking provided during the race day?
Please refer to the official website www.jb10k.com for more information.

5. Is there any shuttle bus provided to the race venue during the race day?
No.

6. Can I bring my pets along?
No. Pets are strictly not allowed on the race venue and race course.

7. Is there a baggage check-in area at the race venue?
Yes. There is a baggage check-in area near the race start line where participants can deposit their belongings. Participants are advised to carry minimal essentials to the race to minimise or eliminate the inconvenience of queuing up at the baggage check-in area to retrieve their belongings.
Please refrain from bringing valuables to the race venue. We do not accept luggage bags. Any items not collected after 10.30am on the race day will be donated to charity.

8. What if I am injured during the race or otherwise unable to finish the race?
Manned first aid stations will be provided to attend to participants who are injured and/or unable to finish the race. Additionally, sweeper buses will transport participants who are injured and/or unable to finish the race back to the finish line towards the end of the race.


9. What time does each category start?
All categories will start at 7am.

10. Is there a cut-off time to complete the race?
Yes, it is two (2) hours from the flag-off time.

Race Pack Collection

1. Where is the venue for the race pack collection?

3. What are the documents that I must bring along during race pack collection?
Kindly bring your NRIC or passport and your registration confirmation slip when you come to collect your race entry pack (REP).

4. Can I ask someone to collect the race pack on my behalf?
Yes. Your representative must bring along the authorisation letter and your confirmation slip to collect the race pack on your behalf.

5. What are the items in the race entry pack?
a. a race bib (with safety pin)
b. a JB10k running t-shirt
c. a timing device (Chronotrack Timing Chip)
d. a runner guide book
e. other sponsored goodie

6. What are the sizes of the Event’s running T-shirts?
Please refer to the chart for the size measurement. All sizes are Asian sizes. Requests for change of running T-shirts will NOT be entertained during the race pack collection.

7. I would like to get my race pack delivered to my home/ office addresses. Is it possible?
No.

8. I lost my race pack, can I get a replacement?
No.
