That night after checking in at Country View Inn, we head off to Restoran Hoover for dinner. In fact at night there are few places that you can eat in Sungai Lembing town which practically is a ghost town at night. The only shops that still survive here caters to the tourism industry. So plan your night activity before coming here, bringing along your mahjong set is the best option.Beside Hoover there are another 2 places you can eat out, one stall in the food court and the other one at the main street on the left hand side just when you entered Sungai Lembing town.
Below are the food we ordered
1) steamed tilapia fish
2) braised bitter gourd chicken
3) stir fried sweet potato leaves with garlic
4) hotplate tofu
4) hotplate tofu
5) their signature ketchup noodles
Initially for the fish they recommended their signature deep fried fish with mango salad, but we declined for the best way to eat fish is to have it steamed in order to relish the true freshness of the fish meat. Overall the food tasted kinda run of the mill, nothing to shout about especially the so called must try Sungai Lembing ketchup noodles.
the verdict >> so so only.
